The May gathering of the Louisville Digital Association will feature an expert panel discussion focused on the hard truths about building, growing and sustaining a technology startup in Louisville. The event is a three-part collaboration with LDA and local technology startup Red e App joining to support Insider Louisville’s latest Insider Meet-up.
The event and panel discussion will take place from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 18 at Red e App’s newly expanded headquarters at 216 South Shelby Street in NuLu. It will feature Red e App CEO Jonathan Erwin, Impulcity CEO and co-founder Hunter Hammonds, Wright Stenrod of Chysalis Ventures and Katie Bush, founder and creative director at KBD, a consultancy that advises tech startup companies.
The intention of the discussion is to unveil the hard truths about building technology startups in Louisville. Erwin’s Red e App is on the verge of moving to Series B funding. Hammonds’s Impulcity left Louisville to work with The Brandery in Cincinnati, but didn’t take off the way anyone hoped. Stenrod and Bush bring consultative and advisor experience as well as the perspective of angel and venture capital funders to the table.
While the topic of Louisville as a tech startup hub has been discussed before, this panel will be challenged to focus on the real reasons by that is or is not possible and what we can all do about it, should our business interests take us down that path. It’s a don’t miss event.
The Insider Louisville’s Insider Meet-ups are free events and open to the public, but an RSVP is required for admission. RSVP by filling out the form below or visiting the Eventbrite page for the event.
